Inventory of the kit
The kit comes a reasonably sturdy box. It is not overly well packed like DJH so I would not entrust it for worldwide shipment by Fedex. But having bought it rather lamely on a fair in person the box suffices.
Smokebox door and handle | The handle demonstrates two things
|
Smokebox wrapper and boiler are provided pre-bent. Personally I am not happy with the pre-bending as the smokebox wrapper will require more work to iron out the faults in the pre-bending than bending is from flat sheet.
Firebox | cab |
Rear coal bunker panel | |
Chimney, which is the correct one if you want to model the 1930s. | Lamps and lamp holders |
Grab irons | Jacks |
Handrail knobs. They are tiny! I wonder if I will use them because their casting was not too accurate. | ermmmm |
One air pump, I will a second pump as I will build the loco in its 1930s guise. | Smokebox underside |
Bell | Dome |
Safety valve (covered) | Wash plugs |
Whistle | Boiler backhead |
Steps and sand boxes | Door panels |
Throat plate | |
Number plates and transfers
Various valves | Buffers, which I will replace by sprung buffers |
Air hoses | And finally some technical stuff |
A few things are not present in the kit which I will acquire myself
